Austin Cupcakery Cupprimo Discovered by Hit National Show ?Cupcake Wars? Through Social Media
Austin entrepreneur Amy Brown credits her enthusiasm for twitter for landing an appearance on ?Cupcake Wars,? one of the Food Network?s most popular shows. The mother of five has been a dedicated user of social media since she launched her Northwest Austin cupcake store Cupprimo in 2008. Brown and Cupprimo head baker Monica Stelly will face off against other top cupcake bakers from across the country on ?Cupcake Wars? beginning January 29 at 7pm Central.
?Cupcake Wars? receives thousands of audition tapes from bakeries nationwide in hopes of earning a chance to showcase their creations. However, Brown?s path to TV fame came about unexpectedly. She was contacted by ?Cupcake Wars? and encouraged to audition after the show followed Brown?s many tweets promoting Cupprimo.
?Twitter and Facebook have been great for Cupprimo because our customer base is social media savvy,? says Brown. ?I never dreamed it would lead to such an incredible opportunity. I know people in this business who have been trying to get on ?Cupcake Wars? for three years.?

Through Facebook Platform, people can share the experience of tasting and reviewing wine, making their online experience more personal and relevant.
